[Books and Lavender...]

You will find as you look back upon your life...
that the moments when you have really lived...
are the moments when you have done things
in the spirit of love...
.....Henry Drummond

Today was the annual Lavender Harvest Festival at Lavandula ..

and so my beautiful Mum and Dad...

and I headed out again this year...

for another glorious day...

the weather was beautiful...
warm and sunshiny....

perfect for sitting under magnificent  leafy trees...
 listening to sweet tunes...

and being entertained...

with some knee clapping music and jovial dancing...

there were lavender scones in the adorable stone cottage cafe...
consumed before photos could be taken...lol

a wonderful slide show... lavender distilling...
market stalls... cottage tour...

and the sweetest shop filled to the brim with loveliness...
was excited to see those on the shelf... I love mine...
it really was just the most beautiful day...

And I was super excited to come across
the Artful Reader's Club...
where you read a book a month...
do a short review and then
create an art piece inspired by the book...

I am a huge book fan...
AND...
 I LOVE to read...
so it seemed the perfect little challenge to join in with...

I can't wait to see what everyone else is reading...
I have no doubt my book wishlist will be added to...
so far I have 8 books selected...
you can see them on my book shelf in the side bar...
(hover your mouse over each one to read the title
and a little description)...

I'm beginning with
'She's come undone' by Wally Lamb...
the list of everyone joining in with the fun is here...
would you like to play along too...
I think it is going to be stupendous....

well... off to read a chapter or two...
have a wonderful week everyone...
Jenny ♥

  9. Ohhhh how I love lavender! Just bought my first bag full and the postage was $4 more than the actual cost to get it to me. Oh well. So worth it!
