In the absence of clearly defined goals...
we become strangely loyal to performing daily trivia...
until we ultimately become enslaved by it...
.....Robert Heinlein
On the spur of the moment yesterday
I went to see Hitchcock... the movie...
I had read the review just that morning...
a right old yawn... it had said....
if you see it... keep your expectations low...
All I saw on the screen was inspiration....
there was every reason Psycho might not have made it
to the big screen...
it was a virtual creative road of stumbling blocks...
barricades even...
there was every reason to give up and call it quits...
had they not kept going... tweaked... adjusted their sails...
rolled with the punches... did I say kept going...
it might not have become the 1960's classic that it did...
Hitch... as he was affectionately known...
said he always felt inspired when he was working on his latest movie...
and then there was nothing...
he would simply wait...
for the next bout of inspiration to strike...
I walked out of the theater feeling like I had been given a gift...
a gift of inspiration...
I have been feeling less than inspired lately...
a little in limbo...
not sure of what I wanted to do next...
so last night... I asked aloud...
for clarity... the next step...
within minutes...
my mind was flooded with a barrage of images...
of inspiration....
inspiration that made me smile...
I have adjusted my sails slightly...
a new focus... a redefined goal...
It is something I once did regularly...
I'd ask aloud... or write the question in my journal...
I was on the verge of putting one dream to rest...
but now I have simply tweaked...
I'm running on full steam again...
ready for the adventure to continue...
change is in the air... I feel it...
Jenny ♥

Hooray! I have been asking those questions out loud lately too, so I know where you're coming from. So glad the answers came to you, my dear! And your girls is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteUnquestionably believe that which you stated.
ReplyDeleteYour favorite reason seemed to be on the net the simplest thing to be aware
of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while
people consider worries that they plainly don't know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks

I have a huge collection of hitchcock dvds as I love his work..so looking forward to seeing this move on him. Like the painting..my head is buzzing with ideas so have had to write them all down on a list before I get overwhelmed and dont do anything at all..sometimes my head is full of ideas or nothing at all..but then I just go for a walk in the woods to clear my head and then get loads of ideas again
